RN Intellectual Property GmbH was established in March 2022 near Munich, Germany, by a patent attorney qualified in both Europe and Japan, with the aim of improving the efficiency of IP work and expanding related services. Our business activities include the development and provision of software and IP-related services.

Career

Graduated from the Graduate School of Engineering at Osaka Prefecture University in 2002, with a research focus on data mining, including quantification analysis and principal component analysis. After graduation, joined a major electronics company in Japan and was assigned to its Intellectual Property Department. Since then, continuously involved in intellectual property work.

After gaining experience in patent prosecution across a wide range of technical fields, became involved in patent litigation from 2008, stationed in Europe from 2010 to 2014, joined a medical-robotics joint venture in 2015, and entered a European patent firm in 2018 to handle European patent prosecution. Founded RN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY GmbH in 2022.

Passed the Japanese Patent Attorney examination in 2005, completed the Policy Studies graduate programme at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in 2007, and passed the European Qualifying Examination (EQE) in 2017.

Technical fields: mechanical and electrical engineering in general, with a particular focus on software and related technologies.

Interests: travel, reading, and software development.
