User Manual
Right-click Menu
The right-click menu consolidates frequently used patent-work operations: open in Chrome, open in OS, convert to PDF, OCR, and more.
1. Open
- Open in Chrome
Opens in a new tab in the PDO browser (file:// URI). The main way to aggregate PDF and Word files in Chrome tabs. - Open in Windows
Opens with the default OS app.
2. PDF Conversion (Office → PDF)
- Convert to PDF
- Convert to PDF and open in Chrome
Converts Word/Excel/PowerPoint to PDF, optionally opening in Chrome immediately.
3. OCR (Add Transparent Text)
Adds a text layer to image-based PDFs to make them text-searchable.
- Sub-menu language selection: English / German / French / Spanish.
- A confirmation dialog appears asking whether to overwrite.
- If a text layer is already detected, you are asked whether to proceed with additional OCR.
4. PDF → Text Extraction (HTML Display)
- Extracts text and displays as HTML (sub-menu: Japanese / Japanese+English).
Japanese OCR inserts spaces between characters, making text unsearchable. This option therefore extracts text page by page and displays it as Word-print-layout-style HTML.
5. Send to PDF Rotation / PDF Editing App
- Open in PDF Rotation App
Launches the PDF Rotation App for the target file without returning to the Main Menu. - Send to PDF Editing App

7. Word Track-changes Operations
For Word files, create modified versions without opening the file:
- Create tracked-changes text file — reflects changes with blue underline decoration as pseudo track-changes text.
- Create clean version — a clean copy with changes simply accepted.
- Create reverted file — a copy reverting to the pre-edit text.
Each option has a "Create + open in Chrome" variant.
8. Copy / Paste / Delete
- Copy (right-click / Ctrl+C)
Multi-selection supported. Places files on the file copy clipboard. - Paste (right-click / Ctrl+V)
Pastes into the selected folder, or the current directory if no folder is selected. - Delete (right-click / Del)
Duplicate names are automatically resolved with "(1)", "(2)", etc.
Windows CF_HDROP (Explorer copy → PDO paste) is also supported.
* Cut-and-paste is not supported; use delete + copy instead.
9. OCR Tips
"Add transparent text" is an overwrite operation. Read the confirmation dialog carefully before executing.
If a text layer is detected, you are asked whether to run additional OCR. When in doubt, click "No" to skip.
