Main Menu

The Main Menu is the starting screen of PDO. It is organised so that key functions — office action OCR analysis, document list input, Chrome control environment launch, PDF processing, and more — can all be launched with a single click.

1.1  Screen Layout

1.2  Button Descriptions

① Analyse Office Action (OCR)

Loads an office action by drag-and-drop and extracts content identification information such as application numbers and citation reference numbers.

② Document List Input Window

Enter patent applications, cited references, and arbitrary documents to perform batch document retrieval and e-paper/tablet PDF output in subsequent steps.

③ Restore Chrome Display / History Management

Restores the saved state of each previously Chrome-displayed case (tabs, tab buttons, notes, AI conversations, etc.) from history.

④ Launch Empty Chrome + Control Frame

Launches Chrome + control frame + case folder from blank state without using the document list. Creates a case folder under the specified output folder, then transitions to an automatically controlled Chrome environment.

⑤ Switch to Chrome Control Frame

Used when Chrome is already running to return to the control frame after executing a function in the Main Menu. Greyed out if Chrome is not running.

⑥ Launch PDF Rotation App

Rotates PDFs page by page without affecting bookmarks or annotations.

⑦ Launch PDF Merge/Delete App

Merges, reorders blocks, and deletes PDF content, with bookmark references updated to track actual page positions.

⑧ Add Transparent Text to PDF

Adds searchable transparent text (OCR result) to a PDF.

⑨ Launch New Publication Fetch/Split App

Fetches and splits an individual publication by entering a content identifier.

⑩ Launch Word-to-PDF Conversion / Bookmark App

Converts Word files to PDF and attaches bookmarks according to specified rules.

⑪ Settings / Options

Adjustments for external service keys (JPO API, translation API, etc.), Chrome settings, log location, and default folders.
