PDF Rotation App

The PDF Rotation App applies per-page rotation instructions to a specified PDF and saves it in a way that does not affect bookmarks (outlines), annotations, or other associated information.

Unlike general PDF tools, which may drop bookmark data, this app sets the "rotation attribute" within the PDF structure, changing only the display orientation while preserving the PDF structure.

1. How to Launch

• From the Main Menu
  Open the PDF Rotation App and drop a PDF to edit.
• From PDO Explorer
  Right-click a PDF in the case folder and select "Open in PDF Rotation App".

2. Screen Layout

• Top bar
  "Close" button and processing status messages.
• Rotation / Save buttons
  "Rotate Left", "Rotate Right", "Save".
• Page thumbnail list (scrollable)
  Displays PDF pages as thumbnails.

3. Basic Operations

3-1. Load a PDF

Drop a PDF onto the drag-and-drop area. Thumbnails appear when loading is complete.

3-2. Select pages to rotate

• Single select: click
• Multi-select (add): Ctrl+click
• Range select: Shift+click

3-3. Rotate left / right

Click "Rotate Left" or "Rotate Right" for the selected pages. The rotation is stored internally and the thumbnail updates to show the new orientation.

3-4. Preview a page

Double-click a thumbnail to open an enlarged preview.

4. Save (Overwrite)

• Click "Save" or use Ctrl+S to apply the rotation and overwrite the PDF.
• Saves by setting the rotation attribute on page objects — not by re-rendering as images — preserving text, embedded fonts, links, annotations, and bookmarks.

5. Page Deletion

• Press Delete to remove selected pages (multi-select supported).
• If there are unsaved rotations, a backup is created first, then pages are deleted and the file is overwritten.
• Ctrl+Z undoes the last deletion once only.

* Deleting all pages is not possible.

6. Notes

• Rotation is applied only when "Save" is pressed.
• The file is saved by overwriting; copy the PDF first if needed.
• Large PDFs may take time to load — check the status message.
