Translation (EN / JA)

1. Translate Selected Text

Drag to select text in Chrome, then click "Translate selection (to JA / to EN)" on the control panel. The translation result for the selected text appears in a pop-up.

2. Translate Selected Paragraph

With part of a paragraph selected, click "Translate paragraph (to JA)". PDO automatically detects the full paragraph containing the selection and translates it. Useful for reading longer passages in one go.

3. Translation Engine Settings

The DeepL API service can be used for translation. Set your API key in "Settings / Options".

If no DeepL API key is configured, PDO uses the built-in Python translation library (deep_translator).
